IRVINE, Calif., August 7, 2006—Greenlight Wireless Corporation today announced that Skweezer® has been nominated for Smartphone & Pocket PC magazine's prestigious Best Software Awards, both in the "Pocket PC Browsers and Web Utilities" and "SmartPhone Phone Tools and Synchronization" categories.

The annual Smartphone & Pocket PC magazine Best Software Awards helps users select software that best suits their Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Smartphone needs by honoring companies that produce outstanding software. Pocket PC and Smartphone experts from around the world help select the nominations and determine the award winners, who will be announced in October. The panel of 90 judges includes prominent Microsoft MVPs, support forum moderators, and Pocket PC Magazine contributors.

Smartphone & Pocket PC Executive Editor and Publisher Hal Goldstein said, "We have been doing this for 6 years and the nominee's list is the most comprehensive and accurate list yet. A big thank you goes to the Board of Experts and the general public who helped us get the list 'right'. Congratulations to the nominees, who are mostly from small independent companies who have worked so hard to deliver great software to Windows Mobile users."

Free Document Viewer for Microsoft Word, OpenDocument, and TextMaker  Wednesday, August 2 2006

German software vendor SoftMaker has followed on the heels of the release of its latest version of TextMaker with a free-for-download file viewer that opens practically every popular word processing format. TextMaker Viewer can open, display, and print documents created by TextMaker, Microsfot Word, StarOffice, OpenOffice.org, OpenDocument and several other popular word processors.

The TextMaker Viewer is a 4 MB download. There are no registration requirements or harvesting of downloader information. TextMaker Viewer is provided free as a goodwill gesture by SoftMaker because they realize many users are frustrated by the many competing, incompatible document formats on the market. By offering a simple and fast tool to open these disparate file formats, TextMaker Viewer provides a useful utility for Windows-based machines. A Linux version of TextMaker Viewer is being developed and will be released shortly.

TextMaker Viewer is based on technology from the popular SoftMaker TextMaker 2006 multi-platform word processor. The current release of TextMaker Viewer supports the following file formats: .DOC (Microsoft Word 6.0 or higher), .DOT (Microsoft Word templates 6.0 or higher), .TMD (TextMaker 6.0 or higher), .ODT (OpenDocument Text), .SXW (StarOffice, OppenOffice.org), .PSW (Pocket Word for Pocket PC), .PWD (Pocket Word for Handheld PC), and the basic .RTF, .TXT, .HTM and .HTML files. TextMaker Viewer works on all versions of Windows (95 and higher).

Users can download their free copy of TextMaker Viewer from http://www.officeviewers.com
